Interview, hire, and train qualified staff members.
Provide ongoing supervision, performance evaluations, and development of staff work plans.
Conduct staff orientation and ensure proper classroom training.
Organize and facilitate regular staff meetings to inform and update employees on policies and licensure requirements.
Ensure staff meets health, safety, and licensing regulations, maintaining accurate personnel records.
Coordinate staff schedules to meet the needs of the center efficiently.
Identify and facilitate professional development and training opportunities for staff.
Maintain employee confidentiality and provide ongoing support for staff development.

Oversee the enrollment process, ensuring all applications, immunization records, and allergy information are complete and up to date.
Maintain accurate and updated child records in compliance with state regulations.
Establish and implement policies and procedures to ensure children’s safety and well-being, including:
- Developmentally appropriate curriculum implementation.
- Positive behavior management plans.
- Safe arrival and departure policies.
Foster an inclusive and culturally respectful environment for children and families.
Establish relationships with children and families, addressing their needs and concerns promptly.
Provide families with information on community resources.
Report any evidence of suspected abuse or neglect to the local Department of Social Services.

Ensure the facility meets all licensing, health, and safety requirements, including sanitation and nutrition standards.
Maintain accurate records for emergency drills, fire and sanitation inspections, and regulatory compliance.
Develop and update personnel and operational procedures as necessary.
Oversee budget development, payroll, benefits, and financial management.
Establish and monitor tuition fees and oversee fee collection procedures.
Approve and order classroom materials, supplies, and other essential resources.
Represent the preschool in the community and act as a liaison with external agencies.
Maintain a healthy, safe, and engaging working environment for staff and children.

Ensure the implementation of a high-quality, developmentally appropriate curriculum.
Evaluate and improve educational programs to align with best practices in early childhood education.
Support teachers in planning and executing engaging lesson plans and activities.
Coordinate and approve scheduling, field trips, and special activities for students.
Monitor and assess children’s learning progress and provide necessary support.

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
Administration Credentials (Levels I & II) preferred.
Minimum of one year of administrative experience in an educational or childcare setting.
Experience in staff management, curriculum planning, and financial oversight.
Familiarity with state childcare licensing requirements and accreditation standards.

Must meet all state health and medical guidelines.
Must pass a criminal background check and fingerprint screening.
Required to attend state-mandated in-service training sessions.
Provide two written references or three professional references to verify work history.
Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before employment).

Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with staff and families.
Ability to handle administrative responsibilities such as budgeting, billing, and policy implementation.
Knowledge of child development, classroom management, and early learning best practices.
Proficiency in technology for administrative tasks and record-keeping.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to challenges effectively.
